Is it the belt, or is it squealing from the Harmonic Balancer? (the large pulley on the front of the crankshaft, Low at the front of the engine.) My HB has a wobble, and will soon be replaced. If left too long, the wobble apparently turns into squealing before the HB disintegrates ... which could possibly damage the steering rack on its way out.

I had Vette mechanic check it out and he determined it is the Harmonic balancer. Scheduled for replacement next week. Hope that takes care of the problem. Thanks for your reply.
Like Farmington said, don't replace with the OEM balancer or you'll be right back where you started in 10-50k miles (there's really no telling, they go out randomly). The OEM part is inherently flawed as it has a sandwiched piece of rubber in it and eventually degrades and throws the rotation out of balance. Get Powerbond or ATI balancer. I've done about 100 hours of research on this because I'm about to replace the same thing.

Reason: grammar
I have the PowerBond PB1117SS Harmonic Balancer in hand, as well as the new bolt, diamond washer and timing cover seal. Just waiting for budgeting to set an appointment with American Intense Racing, Denver for the work. This is the part from Amazon:
You know, that at this point in the job you’re only a couple of hours from a cam swap.....also, if you’re higher in mileage a new oil pump and timing chain would be an easy swap. Granted, it drives up the price but you’ve already paid for the labor.
