2012 GS. 4 way flashers work fine. RH front and rear turn signals work fine. LH front and rear turn signals hyper flash. New bulbs in F and R and still hyper flash turn signal only. GM says the 4 way flasher and the turn signal flasher are all in the 4 way flasher at the top of the dash between the air vents. Any one else ever have this problem and know the cure ? Thanks.

What builbs did you install, since if they are LEDs, then will need to install resistors.

If stock bulbs, then what bulb is not flashing. Hence hyper flash happens when a bulb is burnt out/not working and not the needed resistance on the line, so you know that you have a bulb not flashing in the first place.

Also to point out, if you pulled led bulbs and installed standard bulbs, then you will need to pull the resistors isntead.

Thanks for the reply Dano. Please read the OP again. All OEM bulbs front and rear. All bulbs flash. Right F and R and Left F and R 4 ways work like they are supposed to. Right F and R turn work like they are supposed to. Left F and R turns hyper flash. Any suggestions ? Question, is there a separate flasher for 4 ways and turn signals ? GM parts says that the flashers are combined in the switch between the air vents for the 4 ways. Never heard of half of a flasher going bad. NOT LED's.

Are you sure you have the correct duel filament bulbs in the back? Do all of the brake lights work?

Bulbs were never changed. It just started Hyper Flashing. All Brake Lights work as they should. New bulbs were tried and the same thing.

I meant are you sure the new bulbs you put in were the correct ones. Do both daytime running lights work?

Yes they were the correct ones. They did the same thing the original bulbs did. Yes both DRL's work.

Well hyperflash is a signal of a faulty bulb somewhere so I'm stumped if they are all good. BTW, the BCM controls the flashing, not the hazard switch.

Try swapping the bulbs to the opposite sides of the car and test again. Start eliminating potential problems. If the problem persists on the original side, it'll narrow down where to continue searching and what you can rule out.

I've similar issues in my professional vehicles. Check out the side marker bulbs. They're part of the circuit too! If they're good, I would check each plug to ensure the wires aren't being pushed through the plug, nor are they coated in dirt or corrosion. Beyond that, it could be a relay getting weak, but those are usually pretty solid. And they're always put somewhere that anyone with large hands will struggle to get to. Let us know what you find, I'm pulling for the side marker bulb!

All side marker lamps work as they should and yes I know they do not flash with the turn signals. Any other ideas ?

Where did you purchase the OEM replacement bulbs from? One or more of them could be the incorrect bulb type, (e.g. 3157 vs 4157) which can produce different resistance. It could be that you were given the incorrect bulb number. So while the bulb may fit correctly, and look identical, it could trick the system into thinking the bulb is faulty, thus causing hyper flash.
I got some good info reading over this: link (yes I know it's a Ford, but helpful nonetheless). I'd suggest pulling each bulb and checking the number stamp on each one and cross reference with a bulb type chart for the Corvette.

This all started with the OEM buls. Replacement bulbs are the correct same number as the OEM. Still has hyper flash. ?
