X Pipe wondering
I have a 2008 A6 Z-51 and am considering installing a Z06 exhaust but am wondering the best way to modify the intermediate Z06 H pipe to an X pipe and get it reduced and aligned to the 2008 A6 npp muffler system...would be great if someone made a X pipe that was the correct width and had a 3 inch inlet and 2 1/2 outlets!

Super easy...been done many times. Buy a universal 3" X-pipe section on ebay, etc. for about $30. Any muffler shop can weld that in and add reducers at the ends of the mid-pipe to mate to your OE over axle system.

I believe certain years of Z06/ZR1 have the X-pipe already in the mid-pipe, just the early Z06 midpipes are H. I had this swap done to mine, but I kept the Z06's H-pipe and went to a muffler shop and they modified the back with reducers to mate up to my factory Billy Boat Fusions.
