Default Replace fusible link?

Fusible link seems to be the cause of my charging issues. Wanting to replace it. Does someone sell a replacement or do I need to make my own wire?

Bret (BLOWNBLUEZ06@RKT PERFORMANCE) sells a copper bypass cable that runs from the alternator directly to the power distribution lug near the fuse box, which can help alleviate voltage drop. Checkout his Mechman alternator threads.

Just remember that a by pass cable from the alternator to the battery has to be fused as well, or could have a major melt down problem if the wire grounds out.

As for the fuse link, it part of the alternator to starter solenoid cable just before the end connector to the solenoid. It just a smaller section of wire fused in, flame proof compond on wire, then heat skrink type rubber around it .

So think this, but a a bigger scale.

On a C5, you can see the heat shrink part of the cable since it a touch farther back up from the end connector (look at the back cable),

While on the C6, it very close to the end connector and why is rubber end shield section is longer than the battery cable end rubber end piece isntead.
Bottom cable with longer rubber shield piece is the alternator cable and the fuse link thinner wire section is under it.
Also note that the terminal for battery to alternator cables is not only broken off from the solenoid, but the nut is loose in the below photo.

I was thinking about replacing the entire wire (and fusible link) from alternator to the starter. Should I be looking to repair it instead maybe?

Happen to know what gauge the fusible link is? Just saw the little picture posted above the others.

Repair is easier, and just need to braze in a new section of smaller gauge wire between the end of larger gauge wire and end connector.

IIRC, the fuseable link wire is about 3 gauge size smaller than the main cable size, but can't remember what gauge the wire size is since it been so long since I repaired a cable; using fireproof caulking as the protection coating on the fuseable line wire under the outer heat shrink to seal everything off.
