Will need to go in with something like HP tuner or EFI live to tune the trans (or have your can tuned customized) so your not bouncing off the rev limiter every shift.
Hence your flashing in a tune for a vet car, and with different gearing that that of a vet at final tire drive speeds, it has the trans confused when it trying to use it own sensors for speed shift points instead.
OP, two things, the '08 is a little slow at upshifting. When using the paddles, you might want to shift at 5k rpm's to give the transmission enough time to upshift. The programming was changed in '12 but can't be downloaded to earlier model years. There are some good transmission tuners on the forum that can help and since you are new with 4 posts, Dano is also a good source.
The other thing which you've already learned is to know everything about the tune you are loading into your car's computers.
[QUOTE=ben dover;1597858523]Does the tranny have a tune. I plan on calling Diablo re:trans tuning. Also, I have active handling option...since the rear end does get loose at WOT, could the active handling cause the motor to shut down?
As I understand it, yes it can. The computer is trying to use torque control when this happens.
there is a track I run at I seem to consistently trigger this reaction. Sounds like the a miss, but it picks up again pretty quickly. It's a tight left hand low speed turn with a short straight after it. I try to track-out as smoothly as I can, but hasn't made much difference.

will try using paddles to shift...also will hold back a bit at WOT and see if I can eliminate cut out. Thanks for your input.
