Default Suspension Upgrade Options

I am looking to upgrade my suspension on my 08 base coupe from the current Z51 suspension that is on it without breaking the bank. I do not race or go to the track but want a solid performance suspension package that can be daily driven and will last. I also do not have any intentions on lowering the car at all. Anyone have suggestions?

Good set of bigger bars and shocks. Tons of great vendors out there for parts. LG, Rippie, etc.

There are only two options, upgrade your shocks & sway bars, or switch to a set of coilovers. Coilovers are overkill for a street only car IMO, and very expensive. I upgraded to JO sway bars and ridetechs from ECS and have been very happy with this set up over my Z51.

Since you have the Z51 and you have no plans to lower your car, pick up a set sway bar. I personally have the JOC sway bars and love them. It has been years since I installed them so it is "normal" to me now but I remember the day I installed then and how much better it was at cornering. The nice thing about just swapping out the sways bars is that it did not effect the ride quality. Something I really didn't like when I put coilovers on my previous corvette. While coilovers made my old corvette's handling insane I paid for that control in a lost of ride quality.

Bilstein shocks and JOC or Hotchkis sways would be a great upgrade.
