Painting Calipers
Hi Guys,
I would like to paint the callipers on my Black 2010 Grand Sport. I currently have the grey or silver callipers and would like to paint them Daytona Sunset Orange. A couple of things about this is that, is there a paint in this colour that will stand up to the heat, and how do I put the Corvette logo back on the callipers?
I am hoping someone has done this and can guide me through the process.
Thanx, Reuben

With regards to the lettering, I used an old tube of chap-stik to apply a thin layer of wax to the lettering prior to painting. It helped, but not as much as the q-tips dipped in thinner that I used to go over the top of the lettering as the paint was drying. Caliper paint dries fairly quickly, is thick and very forgiving. Take your time and it will go fairly easy.

I used finger nail polish for the raised letters. It's been almost 2 years now and still looks new.

The Grand Sport calipers don’t have raised letters. Use the G2 Kit & get caliper decals here fourthodesigns@aol.com

They will match any factory color, just provide the paint code.

I've used both the G2 kit and VHT from a rattle can with success.

Just checked out the Fluid Film - I'd never heard of it before. Is it Type A that should be used?
