One of our club members has them on his C6 base and he told me it was a bolt on kit, no welding or other mods were needed. That said I would assume he could go back to stock. I don't know if there are other kits out there though that may be different.

Ditto, would go back to stock in a heart beat.
Hence on most gulf wind door systems now, they have charges in the door hing point to blow the doors off if you end up side down and need to get out.
This is lacking on the C6 gulf wing kits, and if you do end up crashed with the car up side down, going to be a Major PITA to try to get out of the car isntead.

They're most likely bolt on...so please get rid of those.

LOL..........yeah, they don't belong on these cars. However in fairness, the gull wing doors take much less side clearance to fully open and for some folks who simply can't get in and out of these cars they are a viable option. Myself however, when I get to that point I will sell the car before I would mutilate it.

Why do you want to remove them?
I think I would like them if the operation of the door was not clunky or heavy.
