Vararam back to stock, issues.
Ok so when I first put my vararam on I had issues with hesitation during wot like it’s grabbing in and out. After awhile it went away, well now I am back to stock, and my issue is back from before, except this time it’s not going away? I swear this seems MAF related, tried using maf cleaner no cigar. I have an obd 2 wireless scanner that I can read air from maf but I have no idea what I’m looking for. Assuming I need hptuners to see what’s going on. It doesn’t to it all the time and it doesn’t do it during regular driving.

I'm assuming you're still using the same cut up shielding piece you had to cut for your vararam. If so, it is causing an error with your maf as it's getting turbulent air flow. Search the forums for surging and you'll find lots of info on this. I learned the hard way using the 'prop mod." Removed the props and put it back together and voila.

I'm guessing something else is causing your problem. Since it only seems to happen at WOT, check how many plugs are missing the iridium tips. If it's more than two, that's the problem.
For the past few years, I've been swapping from the Vararam to the OEM intake/filter during the Summer and blocking off the shroud opening. The little bit of extra space for direct airflow helps keep my coolant temps down during the 100+ days that the temps here in Phoenix exceed 100+ degrees. Once the cool weather returns, my Vararam goes back on. If there was ever any surging after the swap either direction, it was so minor that I never noticed.
