Default Stock 243 heads or cnc

My 2007 base vette has the cold air intake, ms4 cam, long tube headers and corsa exhaust. I'm curious if anyone knows if I should get the heads worked on, replace the lifters and bigger injectors. What would be best for me? Should I just leave it alone...it is just a weekend driver. Thank you

You need to define what you want out of the car. If you want more power, a nice CNC port of the heads would complement your other mods nicely. But you may then need bigger injectors, if your current one's are maxed out.

As for the lifters, if there is nothing wrong with them, why replace them?

Or you could just leave it alone.

If I were to just leave it the way it is will I have any issues? Not sure with it being an aggressive cam that it would need to get other parts replaced so the cam doesn't mess something up. I would like it to have more power but with it being a weekend driver, I'm not sure if I want to spend another $3,000.

Were the injectors maxed out when the tune was done after the cam install?

Unless you're bored with the car's performance, leave it alone. If you want more power, I'd do a FAST intake. It's a lot less work than heads and will provide enough gain to feel on a cammed car. If you want a lot more power, then switch to the LS3 heads and a rodded intake, or spend the big money for aftermarket heads and intake for a max effort system.

You have a very capable exhaust, a more than capable camshaft, and a less that capable intake manifold along with subpar heads. More power is there to be had. Just cost time and money. Heard that one before??

TxSpeed will CNC port your heads, do a valve job, mill them to your spec, and set the valve springs up for all of $750. Pretty good bang for your buck there. Add a FAST intake manifold and you're going to see a very noticeable increase in power. Last I checked, ported LS2 heads compared very favorably to stock LS3 heads. Nice upgrade. If you do pull the heads, a new set of lifters should be on your list too.

I ported my stock LS2 intake added a vararam and felt a difference on my stock LS2. If your on a budget porting it yourself for free should gain 10 to 15 hp with your setup. A ported fast would be best probably at 20+ HP.

I gained between 55 and 65rwhp with a ported Fast 102 and catted OBX long tubes depending on DA and dyno the car was on.

IMHO, as a weekend driver, leave it.
