'05 C6 Issues Starting/REP
Most times after it fails to start in such a manner, if I get out of the car, step out of FOB range, and let it lock and completely shut down, then get back in the car it will start right up (no reduced engine power, but there is a CEL that does eventually go away after a few start-ups and driving). However, sometimes it just goes back to not wanting to start or is stuck in reduced engine power mode.
Car recently had a brand new throttle body (~6 months) and column lock bypass (2-3 weeks) installed, so I am pretty confident it's not that.
Unfortunately because this is an intermittent issue and the shop (a specific LS performance shop) hasn't been able to reproduce the issue after having the car for almost 2 weeks and said I can just pick it up... I don't want to pick it up and just have the possibility that any time I go to start it won't start.
I'm open to any theories.
When the shop replaced the throttle body they used a LS3 throttle body (gold blade) but seems to have worked it into the tune.
Unfortunately the car has not replicated the issue for the shop so they haven't been able to data log while it's happening. It's weird that I was having the issue mainly upon starting the car. And like I said most of the time the car doesn't even fire up when I have the issue, it just turns and turns.
Anybody here have some ideas?
