Help with C6 Auto Trans. Shift Interlock Selenoid

I am having a problem getting my auto trans shifter out of Park at times. Believe it could be the shift interlock selenoid going bad. Have not been able to find a replacement part on any of the GM Parts web sites. Would like any help with my problem or finding a replacement selenoid or shift assembly. 2007 C6 auto trans base model convertible.

There are lots of threads on the Forum on how to simply disable it; you might go that route instead of replacing it.

Thanks. I will try to disable the interlock first. If that does not work I will contact you about the part.

Hi - I cut mine over the summer - issue is gone. You will need to be mindful that the car will shift without depressing the brake, but for me, that action is automatic anyway. Not an issue.
