Default 2012 Grandsport Brake Pads

Looking for recommendations for brake pads. Will be taking car for a few track days at Watkins Glen, but need pads that are quiet enough for every day driving and have some longevity too. 3 pad or 1 pad recommended? New member here. Thanx.

Tall order there with longevity, trackability, and no noise.
My experience tells me that you can have 2 out of the 3, but never all 3.

I went with trackability and longevity when I went with the Carbotech XP8 / XP10 (1-piece. Padlets are stupid.) combo. Bites like a crocodile, has never faded on me, and has lasted me 2 seasons. Downside, coming to a stop sometimes sounds like a school bus if I drive it around town. The looks I get are humorous, though.

i highly recommend getting a dedicated track pad to run the Glen. Will you be using street tires? The great thing about carbotech is all there compounds are compatible with each other so you can swap pads from the street pads the 1521 to the XP series race pads with no issue using the same rotor. Just swap pads and go. What is your track experience?
