Fuel system gas gauge issues
C6 - had fuel pump in tank replaced because car would not start. Everything worked well. 300 miles later fuel guage went to empty and service fuel system and check engine light came on. Any ideas?

When that happened to me it was the sending unit in the right side tank that quit working. The first thing that you do is do the Techron thing which is designed to clean up the contacts on the fuel level sending unit. Mine worked for awhile after I tried that and I also made sure I only used Tier 1 gasoline. As time went on the fuel gauge continued to fail and finally the right side tank had to be removed and a new sending unit installed. My car is an 6M so the tank was able to be pulled out without dismantling the rear end as you have to do with a 6A car.
