Been looking and looking need help picking headers and mid pipes
I have a base c6 with npp exhaust. I want.it to sound mean and have no drone... what set up do you guys suggest. I would like to keep the npp exhaust...
It doesn’t matter what headers and mid pipe you run. If you run with the NPP open all the time by pulling the fuse or M2W, you will have drone. I have 1-3/4 ARH with catted mid pipe.

I have the NPP exhaust with American Racing headers. It also has the catted x-pipe. No drone, nice and quiet at idle and mid throttle. Above 3500 rpm's when the NPP opens up, it is scary awesome.
Something I would highly recommend is getting the headers ceramic coated. Makes a huge difference in the under hood heat (which will significantly increase the longevity of wiring, rubber parts, plastics, etc.) and can make a big difference in the sound. I got a great deal from a forum member on a set of AR headers that were White Lightning coated. I have had uncoated, bare metal headers in the past on LS powered cars and they always seemed to really magnify the valve train noise. My AR headers with the White Lightning coating are just as quiet as the stock cast iron manifolds.
