Heads Up Display Removal

I have a 2005, C6 and the heads up display mirror has gone bad. Does anybody have instructions for the HUD removal process. Also where can I purchase repair parts. Any help would be appreciated.

There are no repair parts available for the HUD internals but I did a write up on how to repair them.

My 2005 HUD mirror fell also. It can be repaired and there are a number of posts as to how to do this. Since I did not want to do the job again I decided to purchase a new unit. I purchased from a forum vendor https://www.cultragfactoryparts.com/. To repair I chose "Revision 1 - remove the dash method" or you can use "Revision 2 - cut the AC duct". I think Revision 1 is the way to go. It is more work, but doesn't require as much fidgeting in tight places. You don't have to remove the dash out of the car, just lift it up when its loose.
