2005 A4 shift programming
Hi Guys
so I have the Odd year deal with a 4L65E Trans. I just installed 4:10 gears and need to do some shift point re-programming.
The shift points are set by MPH so all of my shift points will need to be lowered about 30%
My question is: Understanding the engine has a red line of 6500, I have found some information on line that would show that the Trans itself has max rpm's too and in some planetary sets are quite a bit lower.
Here is what I found
Maximum shift speeds are 6,400 rpm from first to second gear, 6,200 rpm from second to third gear and 5,600 rpm from third to fourth gear.
Can anybody confirm the above referenced RPM,s
If so this is disappointing as I was expecting to be able to run the 1/4 in 3rd pulling up to redline or capable of 127MPH.
5600 would only achieve 110
any input would be appreciated
