So I recently had some work done to my Vette and I'm now at ~508 whp.
I was wondering what sort of times I could possibly run with a fresh set of Pilot Sports.
Anyone have a similar build or have seen similar Vettes run that.

Lifters, Valve Springs, Push Rods, etc.

I built three cars with power ranging from 420-450 (automatics) and got them all into the high 10s.
You will need drag radials though. While you might get lucky and run a 10 once or twice on your current tires it'll be the exception rather than the norm.
Are you stick or auto? If you put a drag pack on you should be able to go 10s either way although it will be more work with a stick. Either way your tires will most likely result in a 1.9-2.1 60' and thus running mid to high 11s
My stick made 470rwhp and went 11.2@124 with a 1.72 60' (I need to learn to drive cause that wasn't good with a drag pack) I'm at 500rwhp now and have some new rear gears and am hoping to easily go 10s.
For the life of me, I will never understand why people want to run a car down the track on a hard tire. You are more at risk to wrecking on a hard street tire vs a drag radial. I've seen numerous cars, even 100% stock ones break loose at 300' or so down the track and slap the wall.
PLEASE buy a set of drag radials and go to the track and let her rip!
With my old 08 car i had headers, vararam intake, and 100 dry nitrous shot and made 505/508 on spray. On 305/30/19 Hankook Ventura's i went 10.71@128 so its not that hard if your an auto. You can use the torque management in the tune to get off the line.

I agree. I've gone on street tires once and will never do it again. It wasn't even fun to do because you cant hook up and make a decent pass. I was only in a 430rwhp headers only GS. Went high 12s with street tires and 11.7 with a drag pack.

That's why I decided to go auto too. Love taking out sticks that have 100 HP more than me.
Yup I feel like I'm close enough to my ET actually matching my MPH which means in doing my job right as the driver but with a 11.2@124 I still have a few more tenths to find before I'm running what an auto would run with the same motor.
damn, making some power there for sure. Would love to see what it runs with a good tire set up.
Actually was just making 505 to wheels in spray and about half track only had around 400# bottle pressure...was pretty much empty. Trick is to use the tune to get the car to leave and stay planted. (Btw i just bought a vette again and gonna be more aggressive this time....I'm wanting LOW 10's on normal tires)

I was going to say the Timeslip did look off. Your MPH did not look right 1/8 TO 1/4. Now I know why. Personally I run as much tire as I can. Always try to get the best ET the car can get.

COOL. usually sticks have more MPH than auto's so that 124 makes sense. I think your 60ft is what will let you know how you are doing.

Yup I've gone best of 1.69 only and that pass killed the stock clutch. Havent made it back out this year. I just put 3.90 gears in so I'm hoping to the low 1.6/high 1.5 area this year. Most of my passes are low to mid 1.7s though so I have a bit of work to do.

Once you find the sweet spot. With the right tire. 1.5 60' should be in your future.
Yeah. -700'. Actually, with a 4000 stall converter and an unlocked 1.15 4th gear, you don't get true readings on a dyno. Realistically, since I run times that are the same as the quickest bone stock Z06 guys who are on DR's and they dyno around the 450-455 area, then that's closer to my real hp number. I just throw out my dyno number to have some fun for the guys who dyno a lot higher, but don't race. It gives them the feeling that they are way quicker than they really are. They can lay their dyno sheet on the dash at the car shows and say they have more power than a guy who runs 10's.
