AHP Heads
Are the prices listed on their website for work that will be done using the heads coming off my car? Or is that the price for a set of heads on their shelf sent to me? Not understanding the core charge policy. Stupid question.

Not a stupid question at all as it is a little confusing.
The charge you see is to "fix" and rework the heads coming off your car. So you pull your heads, send them to AHP and they do the work and send them back. The charge you see is for the work they perform and items they replace on your heads.
The core charge is if you don't want to wait. So you pay the core charge PLUS the charge to fix and they immediately send you a set of heads they have already done the work on. You get these heads from them and install them, and then send back the heads that come off your car. You are then refunded the core charge. So the price ends up being exactly the same, except you have the heads they sent you and not yours.
So if you want YOUR heads to be worked on, then pay the price you see and send them your heads.
If you don't want to wait, then BUY their heads (which includes the core charge). Put those on and send them back yours to be refunded the core charge.
