Default Help mechanics please

Hi Folks,
Wifes car 2017 Ford Edge Titanium
Rear turn signal stay lit when signal off - not as bright as when flashing, but stays lit between flashes and when flashes off with ignition on and whe ignition completely off doors closed & locked. Dealer says turn signal switch $450
Thoughts please and tanks in advance.

a shorted circuit, including shorted switch would cause "backfeed" current to the bulb and illuminate the light.

check the socket for proper voltages and ground during normal operation to verify....................

knowing this is NOT a Corvette issue, trying to get you some good info. before you get some other comments related to it being a Ford vehicle

Most likely a bad ground somewhere, start pulling fuses to see what circuit is causing the back feed.

Default Problem solved

Aftermarket tow hitch installed wires corroded - disconnected AND had to replace the $450 turn signal switch. Employer supplied vehicle - no out of my pocket expense. Thanks for all the support. Vette gets new slave/throwout this week for second time in two years - ouch.
