6spd trans removal.
Super dumb question and I'm ashamed to ask but...
09 z51 car. Grenaded the diff and after dropping the rear cradle I discovered that I also bent twisted and cracked the trans output shaft. All the bolts are removed from the trans and drivers side fluid hose is out but I cant get the clip out of the hose on the passenger side. Is there a tool or trick to getting it out?

are you asking about the trans cooler line that is connected inside the rear bellhousing? if so you will need a Kent-moore DT47624 trans cooler line release tool You will need the release tool with the 25mm long snout. Sometimes the fuel line release kits will have a scissors tool that works to release the retainer clip, but is has to be long enough so it will go in the opening in the bellhousing and be able to turn it 30deg to release.
not a dumb question. unless you have a service manual you can't know how this little clip works

I don't know if I'm talking about the same clip here, but I just did a 05 Z51 that had a trans cooler. I had a long pick (basically a long small diameter pointy thing) and I just popped the clip out by shoving it in the middle of the clip. Just don't reuse the clip new ones are cheap.
