'05 LS2 Cam recommendation
I've got an '05 Corvette that I daily drive (for now) with about 58,000 miles and have been considering camming it for the sole purpose of the ripple sound. It is all stock, except for a Corsa exhaust. And I do not intend on adding anymore performance mods after the cams.
Any recommendations, pros/cons, price estimations?
Thanks in advance

About $2-2.5K if you're paying someone to do it.
Cam choice is a huge can of worms, everyone, and I mean everyone, has a different opinion on what's daily drivable.
If it's an auto, thats going to limit your choices if you're keeping the stock converter.
You've got a ton of research to do, there is no magic combination.

Get you a 224/230 115+3 with lift around .600 lift on both sides. It will have a little chop to satisfy your sound needs. Shouldn't be too hard to tune for near perfect manners. Add BTR Platinum valve springs and you shouldn't have to change them too often. Some will disagree...I don't care...

Burning Brakes
cathedral port heads/engine like a 8 degree spread between intake and exhaust JUST AN EXAMPLE 231/239 look at Comp plenty of choices, you will have to do springs, nothing wrong with aftermarket Bee Hives , might as well do seals while your there and tool steel or Ti retainers. if your just doing it for sound don't do it.

I'm with you on the sound. Try to pick a cam that will chop....but with the lowest lift. That's to avoid headaches with broken valve springs. Use only BTR Platinum double springs 660" lift springs. 100 percent reliable. Ask me how I know this? For example....Texas Performance 224r cam probably biggest you want go.... it has a good chop at idle.
Good luck

honestly you need to do Headers...Kooks is best!! thats what i did...and now im about 5 weeks out for a CAM install...and they clearly told me they prefer having a car with headers 1st before doing cam!! i know its a little costly but worth it!!!..i have a 2005 also..i have Automatic transmission also...and im excited!

I had a 222/230 114 + 4 with .570/.580 lift on my old 05 M6 Z51 Vette. It cam doctored out to be -0.2 degrees of overlap. I ran PSI single springs. I got A LOT of complements on the sound but I also headers and universal mufflers. It drove and performed well on all occasions.
