Ls2 ported tb
I've tried searching to find if it is worth getting my stock ls2 throttle body ported or not. Some say there is a better throttle response but no hp. I do have a big cam, long tube headers, cai, fast 102 manifold, corsa exhaust, bigger injectors...everything except having the heads worked on. The heads will be done in a few months but just trying to see if I should do both or just leave the throttle body alone. I won't supercharge nor turbo the car. Thanks for taking your time and helping your vette brother out!
I sent mine to peak speed for port/polish dont know about hp gain I remember it definitely had better throttle response + it dont cost
that much to send your stock throttle to someone for porting. At the time mine was just boltons and I felt a difference you have can, intake, etc
I think it would be worth doing

no you dont' I didn't. retune when you do the heads
I dont remeber how much maybe $150. Peak speed also edgyvette on the forum ports them as well
I sent him my ls3 intake for porting

Gain will be ~ 5 rwhp, more important will be the throttle response.
102 TB = Waste on ls2 , below 500+ rwhp imo.
I would and did get the V-Max Velocity Ring to eliminate the step/gap
between the 90 MM TB & the 102 MM entrance to the plenum,
that will definitely help the low speed/idle transition with the larger cam

I beg to differ on the 500 rwhp benchmark - it would be much lower, based on the vacuum properties of air as it's inducted in this case. But I digress...
I'm interested to see you have the transition from 90 --> 102, that is the best utilization of implementation.
