Guys, I’ve gotten into tracking my 06 Vette, love it. I have upgraded the suspension to Z06 shocks and anti sways, this made a huge difference.

Whats your opinion on replacing with a suspension kit with coilovers vs newer independent suspension say on a C7?

Would the fixed axle on the C6 perform as well as the independent suspension of a C7 with a Z51 package?

Thanks.

The C6 does not have a fixed axle. It is 4-wheel independent of the same configuration as the C5 and C7, right down to the transverse leafs.

The geometry of everything changed slightly from generation to generation, so very few parts interchange.

You might want to jack your car up and take a peek underneath.

You should invest in a good set of tires and get as much seat time as possible instead. Do autocross events to learn car control at a slower speed. When you are faster than everyone else in your class then you can start spending money on go fast parts.

Have you thought about AX'ing it ? It should perform darn well as is, although traversing faster is addictive, right, hehe..

I'm contemplating a full coil-over suspension kit from a good vender who can GT a Modern Corvette. Talking about ground clearance (not necessarily lowered). Talking about street/AX/RR prowess, with just the turn of a few *****. What Next!
