Default NPP exhaust install question

I'm trying to install a NPP exhaust system on a non NPP 09.The kit says to access the vacuum on the back of the intake manifold, and break off the cap on the small vacuum access line.I find it almost impossible to access this point and accomplish this. Are there any tricks out there to accomplish this or is there another vacuum source on the engine ?

You can use a an adapter off the brake booster hose instead. Most SC systems come with one, not sure what they’re called though

Yes, it's a pita. But can be done.
Did you remove the coil cover on the pass side?

yes i removed them and can see the vac tube with a mirror ,but i am not able to exert any pressure on the tube with my fat fingers to remove the cap. Another member thought the SC engines had an adapter on the brake booster line that might be able to tap into, thanks

Something like this, not sure of the exact sizes but you get the idea

You cut the brake booster vacuum hose, add this and it gives you an extra 1/4" port to connect whatever to

Get one of these and cut off the guard to the right of the vacuum port. Then you can get to the "t" and slice it right off too.
