Starting a new build on my vette. I cut my oil filter open and it was full of pretty shiny things. The poor girl died from lifter failure. I ordered a new forged short block from Thompson Motorsports yesterday and will order the long block completion parts from them in the next couple days after I figure out the cam specs.

That's all good stuff for sure. Did you consider doing a high compression E85 engine? Don't know which route I'd go if mine **** the bed. Might wait for one of those Vettes with the engine in the trunk though/

I'm probably not going to mess with e85 on this build. I drive too much and maybe If I were going FI i'd give it more consideration. BTW the Vette with the engine in the trunk is on my to do list! My daughter will graduate from college in a few years and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get myself a C8 for her graduation present!! LOL!

I agree! Kids getting out of school and off the payroll is a big accomplishment...and a REALLY nice pay raise all said and done. I had one at Tx A&M and one at Sam Houston at the same time. TX Tomorrow Fund saved me a big slice of cheddar too.
