I was driving along the coast and as I slowed to stop at a light, the car jerked and shut off. It fired up again no problem, but something is keeping it from moving forward. I am able to shift it into all 6 gears, but it won't roll forward. If I put it in reverse, it rolls backwards no problem. But if I put it in reverse, roll it backwards, and then put it in neutral, it won't start rolling forward...and I'm on a hill so it should. If I put it in gear and let the clutch out, the nose dives down like it's trying to move but it just boggs and stalls. It's like something is bound up, but it's letting it go in reverse no problem. Any ideas of what the problem could be?
I know when my torque tube bearings took a dump the car would obnly go in reverse but after they rolled it off the flatbed it would go forward just not happily
mind you mine TT bearings took a **** at 70mph and climbing...what a ride

I had been driving the car along the coast for about an hour and a half before this happened, did a couple pulls here and there but nothing 100% power. When the clutch is engaged I can hear an odd noise, kinda sounds like something is broken and tumbling, but when I press the clutch pedal the noise goes away. I know the clutch is engaging because when I try to make it roll forward it boggs and stalls and doesn't move an inch. You think that could be TT gone bad?
Will it roll in neutral? If so, issue is upstream from the transmission.
That might point to the torque tube.
If it won't, might point to the trans or axles.
Let us know what you find!

Will not roll forward in neutral, but it will roll backwards in neutral. Sometimes if I put it in first and give it gas and let the clutch out, it'll jump a foot or two and lock up again.

Did’t say locked up but binding. It is possible. Jack up front and see if wheels turn freely in both directions.
When the car came to a stop it sounded like something broke. I don’t think it the brakes because we were able to push the car backwards with hardly any effort. And something in the rear of the car is making a rattling type sound like something it being tossed around that it didn’t do before. It’s not supper loud but when it’s idling you can definitely hear it. When the clutch is engaged it does it, when it’s disengaged it stops.

Now that I think about it, they had to send a wheel lift tow truck (don’t ask why, that’s a store in itself) and when he got the front end in the air with the jack to get the truck under it, he spun the driver front wheel and it was fine. I mean, when I give it gas, it feels like something it seized. You can feel it trying to roll forward but it feels like there’s a crow bar shoved in the diff stopping the gears from spinning, and as soon as you let off the gas, the car settles down and rolls back a little bit from the torque.

Based on this, I would say it's in the trans/clutch area, most likely the trans. You will need to remove the transmission to really see what's going on.

That’s what I figured :/ It’s pushing 650 whp so I’m thinking about doing a build on the trans anyway....I guess now I have a pretty good excuse
