Default 443 LS7 NA build with issues

Snagged a 06C6Z for a good price and I was planning on redoing the cam and heads. Well the car was thrashed. Had destroyed suspension, two spun bearings, blah blah blah.

Car now now has a 443CI with 12.3:1 compression. Oem block (and sleeves). Forged bottom end (Callies Compstar 4.125 stroker crank, Callies Compstar 6.125 H-beam rods, and Weisco 4.130 -2.8cc pistons) 254/266 .650/.640 114 cam. Ported MSD. Worked BR7 heads. NW TB. Haltech 108. Kooks stepped headers (1 7/8-2). Flex fuel car.

Finally goes on the rollers this week. Also redid all of the suspension (to include every mount and bushing), clutch, fuel pump, fuel lines, oil lines, power steering lines and the list just keeps going and going.

Feel free to take some guesses at power and I’ll give more feed back once I get it done.

Currently only things left to do is the trans, dif, axels and torque tube. After that I do plan on spraying it.

In for the results.

I'm getting ready to replace rubber bushings in my 64k suspension. Curious what you replaced on your suspension. I've purchased DRM shocks, getting ready to start researching what suspension to buy.

No sleeves? Ballsy. Definitely the weak point.

Im doing a 447ci with darton sleeves with similar cr and cam specs so excited to see what you get out of it.

Who did the Brodix heads? On dyno run are you planning to do pump gas?

I got the heads on here from outrageousz (xtreme cylinder head)

for sleeves, I think I will be fine. Seems to be that NA guys are not blowing up blocks. We will see.

So update. She was on on the rollers today. She was smoking some and def a bit low on power and stopped pulling. We are guessing the rings are bad. Going to do a leak down and compression test. If rings are the culprit I will either be sleeving this block or just going with a new TSP block and swapping everything over. Got to love doing things twice. We will see what the machine shop says about it. No knock, and fuel pressure was great.

Damn. That sucks. Definitely should be in at the least the low 600s.

Peak power was at 5750ish. Should be pulling hard to low to mid 7000s. Loss of compression would explain this pretty well.

That's not true, the MSD is restricting the LS7 up top. Look at any other LS7 with MSD dyno and you'll see the same. Actually they usually fall off a lot more than yours did.

edit: This is a dumb comment, idk why I said this a couple months ago. Ignore this post lol.

I can’t seem to find any LS7 that peaks before 6K. Testing I saw pushed the rpm band to the right with stock compared to MSD. Mine is also ported.

Little update.

so motor is being redone and sleeved. Also my brand new heads are also getting redone because of some assembly error.
I can’t seem to catch a break.

Sorry man. I got my money back from Tony a while ago. At this point I'm glad I didn't get the heads. I just said screw it and went to RPM.

Best of luck! Sticking with 443 or going to a different setup?

Still going with 443. I did get a refund from tony when he was dicking me around for months on when they would ship. Well I went through my bank for it. When I randomly got the heads I did send him money back. Little did I know it was still a trash product when I finally got them over 3 months later. i contacted him and the shop and waiting for a response.

You've had way more than enough hell on this project. Don't know what you could have done differently. Hope you get it squared away soon and start enjoying it!

I seriously haven’t tried to cut corners and I just keep throwing money at the car. I’m honestly baffled that I’ve had so many issues when paying for too of the line stuff

So I just finished my 447ci and have a similar dyno graph to you (and a very similar cam, same duration just on a 116 and .658" lift). I think mine might be related to pushrods holding the valves open because I just measured them to be about .010-.015" too tight. But hoping that's all mine is and I don't follow you down a similar path. Sorry about all the difficulty you've been through, I know how much of a let down it is to finally be done with everything just to tear it apart again!
