Default C6 problems with new car help

Hey guys, just purchased an 05 convertible at a great deal and I’m now figuring out some issues with the car and I need some help. Car runs great no noises from engine or drive train that I can tell. My issues that I am having are 1.) the oil pressure is extremely high on the car. At cold start it’s at about 58 psi after being drove and fully warmed up about 42 but when you hit the gas it climbs like crazy. If you get on it when cold it will go over 80 when warm it gets close to 80. It’s definitely scaring me. Gauge reads 0 when car is not running. Car does have aftermarket oil cooler, which dealer said he had had some problem with it blowing off when you got on the gas so he had to double clamp it. 2nd issue I’m having is performance, car seems very sluggish at take off. It’s very hard to get it to break traction even with trac contol and active handling off. I’ve drove other c6 6 speeds and you floor the gas in first and you burning rubber, not this 1. Last but not least when I’m power shifting, sometimes when I got to shift the gear, it goes into gear but when I let clutch out it just revs real high like I mis shifted but it’s in the right gear and the shift **** vibrates real bad so I push clutch in put it in neutral and shift back to the gear I just tried and everything’s great, not sure if I’m letting clutch out to soon or what going on. If any of you guys could help me with any of these problems I would greatly appreciate it. Car is a 2005 convertible 6 speed completely stock, 122,000 miles.

doesn't sound that bad to me. 1) personally i don't rev the engine to redline when it's cold but ... to each their own. 2)By comparison, fully warm, my LS3 has oil pressure of about 29 psig at idle. 3) maybe somebody already replaced the oil pump and put in a higher volume pump? although your oil pressure seems about 10 psi higher than what i'd expect, i dont necessarily consider that a problem? hopefully others with more experience will comment on this too.

you would need to record some data with something like HPTuners post the data then maybe we'd be able to tell if somethings off. going off of "this car's slow" isn't really enough info.
On a side note, what are all the modifications? somebody already went through the trouble to add an oil cooler, odds are there are other things modified on the car.

To me it sounds like you are letting off the clutch too soon. Evidently when you thought it was in gear, it wasn't. The grinding and vibrating shift **** kinda prove it wasn't in gear. Maybe your synchros might be a little worn, but before tearing down the car i'd try being a little more conscious about making more deliberate (complete) shifts.

The LS2 with only 400hp is honestly not fast at all. I would go as far to say its actually quite slow. I can't break tires on my 6 speed unless they are super cold. I would be surprised if you did drive other LS2's that easily burned rubber. I also have the super crappy Goodyear Eagle F1's which are known to have terrible traction. I think with a good set of Super sports or something similar it would be about impossible to spin them by just stomping on it.
