I recently had the familiar seatbelt pretensioner open circuit code B0065. Fixed the problem - loose connector under the driver's seat - and tried to clear the code with my Tech 2. It would not clear. Tried thru the BCM menu as well as the Vehicle Control Systems menu, but it still shows up as a history code.
Is there a trick to clearing B codes I don't know about? Or, are airbag history codes perhaps unclearable by Tech2, and have to be cleared by the BCM itself after the required number of successful tests?
Is the code showing as current or history? Is it a real Tech2 or a clone?
Sorry, I should have made that clearer: History code only. Underlying problem fixed. No current codes or airbag light on.
Chinese clone Tech2. So far, it works the same as a gen Tech2

Yeah, I know, but 255 ignition cycles on this car will take about 10yrs. Trying to make it go away a little sooner. No trouble clearing other history codes from ECM, BCM, HVAC, seat memory module, and others, just this airbag code on this car.
Fixed it. Did a hard reset of the airbag module by disconnecting power for a few minutes, reconnected it, turned the ignition on and cleared the history code with the Tech2 in the usual manner. Seems like airbag history codes can be "sticky", probably designed that way.
