They do on a Z06, if those are the "big brakes" you have. Several Z06 owners run them with Hoosier 275/40x17 tires. FNBADAZ06 ran 1.5's consistently with that exact combo when he only had a CAI.
You could also use C4 A-molds, sawblades, or salad spinners in the same 17 x 9 size, if you don't mind the weight penalty of 1#, 2#, and 3# respectively per wheel. I assume the weight isn't that important, since the Z06 brakes (J56) are more than 30# heavier than the base (JL9) brakes.

You could also research the performance list for GS boltons and internals.
You cannot use GTO spare wheels on the front without a reeeeeally big spacer, so if you want a drag pack, logically you need to switch to the JL9 stuff.

If you need verification, go over to the Z06 forum and ask what 17 x 9 OEM wheels those guys have used or look on their fast list for the bone stock except tires. Gary (the current list keeper) has run several tire/wheel combos on his Z06, although he may have been using JL9 brakes for some combos.
