Hinson. They fit flawlessly without having to do ANY modification, they come ceramic coated and they don’t break the bank. There are no negative aspects to this product in my opinion.
I like Kooks the best even over American Racing. I find they have the best fitment.
I have tried Texas Speed (similar to Hinson) and while they were well made, fitment was not good. I don't like the slip fit style of connection from where the header collector connects to the x-pipe. It doesn't allow adjustment side to side like the ball style connector does.
I also like the Pfadt headers as they are a tri-y and they use v-band clamps.

I had a set of Pfadt headers on my last C6. I received them right after Pfadt went **** up. Got lucky. Absolutely beautiful welds and appearance. Had to weld on another ox sensor bung though. They had them oriented where the left sensor would hit the right sensor once the headers were installed. In other words, you could only install one sensor. Which ever one you installed would block the other from having room enough to screw it in. That, and some driver's side headers actually would come into contact with the steering shaft. Mine were close, but didn't rub. Not a fan of Pfadt or their successor.
Also had LG Super Pros and my current C6 has Kooks. Both fit without issue and had good ground clearance. If I had to choose one, it would be Kooks.
I have a set of B&B 1 3/4 LT headers and love them, the fit and quality is awesome. I have them connected to APS 3" exhaust system with cats, and love the sound.
Yep, love the Pfads due to the way the connect to the X pipe. Hence if you have every had a set of headers come unbolted as your driving down the road, will quickly understand the differances between good and bad connector types.
Second in line is flanged connection points, since they tend not to leak between the connection, and fairly easy to remove down the road as well. The down side, unless you have good bolt, they can become unbolted on there own.
Least favorites, is the slip fit joint types, since you need to use a sealer to keep the two from leaking at the slip connection point, and the sealer compound can be a real bitch when you need to remove the X pipe from the header later.
Dano ..... When I first started out in the military, I was wrenching C-130s in the Air Force (Viet-Nam era)
All the hot 'bleed air' ducting used for the heating and cooling system in that aircraft, along with the hot 'bleed air' ducting used for engine starting were all attached together with the same couplings and military spec V-band clamps that the Pfadt headers have that connect the end of the collectors with the y-pipe.
Truly "Aerospace Quality" work went into the construction of the Pfadt headers.
But, Pfadt folded for reasons I don't know about ...... I am thinking that aFe still makes these headers with the high quality that they once were ... I just don't know for sure about that
Well even though I don’t want to. Sounds like I will be buying a set of kooks headers. I see some have the headers wrapped. Was reading it’s not recommended because they could soak oil up and become a hazard or something
I finally ordered a set for my 2013 GS and I went with Kooks once again. The quality workmanship are excellent as I have owned and installed their headers on my previous project cars(Fbody). I’m pretty confident on their fitment.
I'm using LG Streets with 1.75" tubes, since the length and collector size is as close to ideal that's commercially available to maintain high velocity clear to the mufflers for a bolt-on modded LS3. Your mods, engine size, performance needs, may require something different.

only thing I am going to be doing is Intkae. Cam. Tune and headers. No more

Because you aren't wanting/needing the very last bit of power and you have a used car, you might consider any brand of used headers too. Maybe even check with LG for used, since they're practically in your backyard and can install and also tune. Don't waste your date night money on an intake, assuming you have a LS3. If you have a A6 trans, a converter and possibly in conjunction with a Z06 axle will be far more fun and less maintenance than a cam for nearly the same cost.
