IMO I would go with a Halltech MF103 w/shroud. It relocated the MAF more forward to avoid the heat from the engine and the beehive (shroud) keeps hot air out. I have this intake on my LS3 and I love it.
If not that...I would have personally went with a AIRRAID.
Never heard of the Corsa intake hmm, interested how it compares to the Vararam, which was the defacto standard for performance, and, keeping IAT's in check, on the C5.
I have one on my LS2. If you buy it, buy the pre filter bag too or you will be cleaning that air filter very often. Other than that, it works great.
do u feel or know if it had any real performance gains to it? I think it looks super nice but I’m not sure if it’s worth it since it doesn’t have any way to block engine heat and be a true cai :/ or if I should go with the Halltech or air raid like bigron1212 said?
I got the Vararam because I thought it looked cool. I don’t think that there are any performance gains on the LS3. I just didn’t like the look of the factory air snorkel with the big silencer off to the side.

You are talking about the Corsa Pro5 system correct??
The Pro5 blocks all the engine heat getting into the air system. The air filter is housed inside a ram air box but it doesnt use a panel filter like the Vararam. Instead it uses a flat cone air filter. I specifically bought this because of engine heat. I had a K&N system before this. It works but the filter gets real dirty real quick so buy the pre filter bag to help.

oh no sorry for the confusion I was wondering about this one
It looks pretty sweet but I’m hoping the looks aren’t the extent of it. it looks like it’s got a pretty massive intake but I’m not sure if it’ll even make a difference especially since it seems to not have a way of blocking engine heat. Corsa claims to have more gains with the carbon fiber one based on their numbers on the website but maybe that’s just because it cost more lol

My honest opinion: If are going to buy that system just do a K&N drop in filter on stock Ls3 intake. It will be basically the same thing. If you dont like the factory resonator hanging off the side, just cut it off and cap the hole.
