Default LS7 clutch question

This is my first time installing an LS clutch.

googled this shim that came with my LS7 crate engine clutch and I read somewhere that this could cause the clutch to engage and disengage at the top of the pedal travel I'm not sure if this is even the shim that is in question however does anyone know what I'm supposed to do with this thing?
Any other advice would be helpful also.
thanks!

my trans went out at like 57k and I had the dealer swap in a new clutch while they were at it (warranty work)...

I just pulled my motor and drive train and there was no spacer behind the replacement stock clutch..

got a monster clutch I'm swapping in and it didn't have the shim either (though the slave cylinder may need to be shimed... different story)

if it's all stock you should be fine without... mine was with nearly 20k of hard driving...

now this may not be proper according to manual but it's my experience... I'll look through the helm manuals tonight if someone else doesn't chime in...

2005 here, I replaced my clutch/flywheel/TO with an LS7 upgrade last year. There was no spacer included and was none behind the OE. No problems in the past year.
