LS3 ticking when at op temp

Hey guys I know these motors are notorious for being ticking machines but does anyone else have this particular tickIng noise show up when the motor is hot? It’s silent on a cold start but once up to operating temperature I get a very pronounced ticking coming from the driver side around cylinder one or three. The car runs perfect no misfires no codes. Bone stock. Something to look into or just the nature of the beast? Thanks

I wouldn’t think so since it’s factory exhaust, but’s it’s possible

Pull the valve cover & look at the rocker bearings, the intakes rockers are notorious for bearing failure. if so its time for a trunion upgrade! How many miles?

I def planned on doing this, just haven’t got around to it yet. 2011 with 43k miles

Mine made this noise too, drove me crazy. Checked my stock exhaust manifold bolts, 2 were loose. ticking went away.

Prolly not the rockers as it would be noisy all the time, my bad!

So yours sounded just like this? Also mine is quiet when until the motor warms up which would suggest exhaust leak. This weekend I’m gonna look closer into it, maybe i have a loose manifold bolt also.
