Looking for the middle of the road headers .. I know kooks are the top and speed engineering is bottom. What is a decent brand to use for a weekend car on the street no strip/track time ever

No name ebay headers are the bottom, Speed engineering is the middle and sounds like what you should be using.

No name and speed engineering are basically the same just with a name. Still Chinese made. TSP is a good middle ground.

The difference is the speed engineering ones actually fit right. Can't go wrong with the US made ones if you like paying for them.

Wait around for a set of used Tx Speed headers to show up in the parts for sale section. A lot of them are already dinged/clearanced on the primary that hangs down below the frame rails. I do business with Tx Speed and am pleased with most of their products. However, I wouldn't run their headers if you gave them to me.

So...you’re telling him to wait for a specific header set to come
up for sale but they’re not worth giving away. That should be more than enough to leave him totally confused.😂

Have read favorable TPS headers comments in both C6 and C7 sections. They're a forum vendor and their headers are American made. May also want to check out LG Street Series.

Texas Speed is the way to go for a good quality, middle-of-the-road header. The main problem is fitment; they may fit perfect for your car or they may not.

What you are paying extra for when you get a set of Kooks or ARH is nearly perfect fitment without the frustration. It is worth it to go name brand. I prefer Kooks.

In one of your other threads you posted about needing help to become the local jackass. And here you're wanting middle of the road. Kind of a mixed message.

Ultimately it comes down to do it right the first time or do it twice. You want to be the local jackass you have to do it right or you'll just get humiliated again.

Bullshit. Try doing some actual RESEARCH before you post.

Forums like these have far too many "experts" who have absolutely no experience with the product and make outrageous statements.

I recently had Speed Inc installed a set of Kooks headers on my 2013 supercharged GS. Perfect fitment. Spend a little bit more for peace of mind.GL

I've run high 10's with Z06 manifolds and gutted cats. Currently using 1.75" LG streets, but didn't make a whole lot of difference. Either one is all a bolt-on LS3 needs.

I mean, I've used them, so I'm gonna say you're the one with bullshit.

They're not bad, but they're basically Chinese stuff that's spot checked by competent people. The accessories they come with are utter crap. The fitment is usually good, but not perfect. That's pretty much how all the Chinese crap headers are, some modification needed for fitment, crap accessories, the price premium with speed engineering comes from that bit of qc they do to make sure the welds are good, the cones are in right, things like that.
