Default Check valve

This is sold as a one way check valve for automotive use.
I can blow or suck air thru it fron both ends.
How can it stop flow like that?

Thanks all

Obviously, it can't

Spring tension too high in it for what you want to use it for

Probably broken inside. Some of these are rubber discs in plastic cages and they get stuck. I got a nice one from Elite Engineering that uses a hi-temp nylon ball and flows great when needed. Some of these look like they flow but they don't as the internals are reduced down a lot sometimes. Elite has them in 3/8 and 1/2 inch sizes.

Maybe it's dependent on a certain pressure to work properly or something weird like that. I would call Racetronix customer service and discuss it with them.

Yeah, all of the above posts are right on.
They dont have a "tech" contact.
I left a message on their web page email but it didnt seem to work too good.
I called but can only leave a message so I did.
If they dont return my call I will return the part back to Jegs and be done with Racetronix. This thing was 50$
Had I known they were in Canada I would not have tried them.
U.S. based buss. come first.
Thanks guys
Angelo in IL.

It is unlikely that the valve is defective. You can't test it by simply blowing into it. The valve requires backpressure to seal properly. This is a rubber flapper-type valve not ball/seat + spring.

You never did state what you want to use this check valve for ... Anyway, I guess you have AN fittings on the hard lines you want to attach this check valve to ?
