Default 15” wheel conversion

Was hoping somebody could clear the air on a question. I was looking at the Carlyle racing 15” rear whee conversion a while back and from my understanding the kit comes with smaller spindles, calipers and rotors. After reading a little more yesterday, a lot of people run the c6 base model rear rotors and calipers and it works just fine?

question is I have a 2006 base model c6, so would I be able to buy JUST the spindles and still use my factory brakes to run a 15” wheel?

From my understanding, if you have the small base brakes, yes it will work. Should be able to ask Mark and get an answer.

Or just run the same setup as I have. I mean, how much more traction do you really need?

what setup are you currently running? Looking into going nitrous soon and would like a bias ply tire for the track (I’m a 6 speed). From my understanding, m&h only makes a 26” tall bias ply in 16” wheel or smaller and when I ran a 295/45/17 I ended up cracking my rear fender 😭

side note: I also love the big tire, small wheel look 😅

315/35/17 Hoosier drag radial on a 17x9.5 or 17x11 ZR1 repro (I have 2 sets).
