Are you implying that I shouldn’t of bought the car over some muffler welds? The car is immaculate. I really don’t care if the welds aren’t the best.
I'm going to agree with you that if you like the car and it's running well then it doesn't matter, but I would add the caveat that since you found something unexpected after you bought it, you should also be a little more on alert of "what else was done/happened to my car before I bought it"
my car was apparently wrecked before I bought it which I'm only deducing from broken components and damage that I'm finding while tearing it apart, owned the car for.....10 years now I think? and looking back on all the little clues that I've missed about this makes me feel dump as hell and ripped off.
granted people who rode with me or just admired the car never noticed a thing cause they were so mild, but it still kinda eats at me a little. hopefully you're on the other end of the spectrum where this was just a mod somebody made in their own garage, and again, as long as you're happy with it then all is well, but at least keep it in mind if you ever hear a ping/rattle and don't instantly dismiss it.

No I'm implying that you should have been able to look at the car with the knowledge of what the option codes were and what made them that, If they were telling you it was a Z51 option, you would know what you should be getting, the price is marked up for that option. The guy who pulled the NPP off sold them for at least 500, do you know if you have Z51 Brakes, sway bars, EOC and tranny cooler?
