Default Front Bumper Repairable?

Hey guys. I lost it bit in my Z and hopped up on a curb a month or two ago. Just now getting to assess the damage. The entire inner fender liner/duct/chin splitter are toast. Upon further inspection it looks like the front inner plastics sheared off from their holes in the front bumper cover. Anyone know if this is fixable or will I need a whole new cover? It would seem that now the inner fender would have nothing to retain it in the front bumper.

Posting pictures may help. You report it to your insurance or no?

Replace the front bumper. While repairing those torn holes may be possible, I don't think you will ever have them quite right. The amount of labor it would take to repair will be more than the cost of a replacement. If you are in the Houston area, call RIchey Collision and get their email. You can send them some pictures and they could advise you on the best path forward.

I have actually had Richey do work on this car in the past. They were going to be my first call.

Wouldn't the hex head screws pull away from the bumper where the outer part of the holes had been sheared off?

I doubt it, the hex head screws go through the inner liner before screwing into the U-Nuts. The bottom one looks to be the worse one, but still looks like there is enough material to hold the U-Nuts in place. Once the screws are tightened, there will be a clamping effect. It costs nothing to try.

Here's a couple links to some U-Nuts on Amazon. Unless you still have the old ones attached to the old screws.
