2012+ C6 - Mid Pipe w/ Cat Delete
Hi there,
I purchased my car with Borla S-type (I think) exhaust.. It has dual mufflers on it.
On the 2012's, we have 2 unmonitored cats on the midpipe. Would purchasing a catless midpipe increase the volume by very much?
I want to make the car a little louder, but don't want to spend $3K on a corsa extreme.
I am really struggling to find any videos of before/after rear cat deletes on the internet.. If anyone has a video, that would be appreciated as well.
Thanks!

Speed engineering headers and catless midpipe. Around $500. Get more sound plus 35 rwhp

What do you mean by unmonitored? The rear O2 sensors are after the cats. You would most likely need a tune to tune out the 02s and turn off the CEL.

2012 and 2013 have 4 cats. The downstream O2’s are after the front cats. There isn’t a sensor after the second set.

Headers are a bit wild for me, I don't want to deafen the neighbors with cold starts..
If I had a detached house, I wouldn't think twice, but being in a townhome complex I'd feel bad booting her up every morning..
More curious if anyone has just deleted the midpipe cats on a 2012/13, and noticed any sound difference. Not sure if it will be worth it.
I know it made a big difference on my BMW (But it had a resonator as well).
