Hey fellow Vette peeps....
Just purchased 2008 with LS3 and 6 speed manual. Wondering on fluid recommendations you guys have for the transmission and rear diff. I did already replace the diff fluid with 75w90 with slip additive, but then saw something about using straight 75w90??? no slip additive needed??? in 2008???
Also wondering about gear box fluid....Seen something about using DEXRON III ??? What does GM recommend???
Im a ASE and NISSAN certified tech for past 25 years, but want it a Vette and found a great one....Someone made this one look just like a Z06 to a tee, but had LS3 not the LS7....Im fine with the LS3, which is tuned to 460HP. Just want to change ALL of the fluids and looking for fluids you guys use or recommend....

There are online owner's manuals available if you don't have one. I had a link, but can't find it. Nothing wrong with going with what GM recommends. Congrats on the purchase. 460 wheel HP in a 3200# Vette is a whole lot of fun! Enjoy and be careful out there.

Absolutely suggest that you review the owners manual for the Chevrolet recommendations for auto fluids. As to the Diff fluid, there was a change and the current GM offering includes the necessary limited-slip additives needed. The link below should lead you to the owners manual for your car.
