Default A6 Transmission Issues

I continue to have intermittent problems with the race-built A6 transmission in my trailered, drag race only C6 GS (see signature). The problems include hesitation on the 2-3 shift, staying in 3rd gear after the burnout, and on one occasion locking up after the burnout like it had a transbrake. I am considering using the manual paddle shift to make a few test passes to see if this overcomes the issues. I want to avoid pulling having the trans pulled and sent back to the builder. I have been operating under the assumption letting the trans do the shifting (assuming in works) is better than manual shift but t this point I am willing to try just about anything.
I will appreciate feedback.

As I think I had suggested previously, I would try a new valve body and TCM as this fixed some odd behaviors for me that a fresh rebuild didn't. This can be done without pulling the transmission and if you're willing to put in the time, it can be done in your garage.

The other thing is to do a trans adapt reset with a Tech 2. Last summer and totally out of the blue my transmission wouldn't make any WOT shift properly but after doing the adapt reset it was perfect again.

Subfloor, re using the Tech 2, does that do the same thing as doing the adaptive preset reset procedure using HP Tuners?

In theory yes, in practice it does not.

Sorry to hear that your still fighting that issue. I would follow subfloors advice. No one knows these transmissions better than he does.
If you had a stock trans, I would be more than happy to share my tune with you. I seem to have lucked out with mine (knock on wood).
