Default What do good cyl do?

My base 6.0L, A6, C6 has 10 psi boost, small cam of 222/228 dur. 566/571 lift on 114 LSA. Has stock stall. Its not a drag car.
Fuel sys is A&A twin pump and ID 1050x injectors, has good exh sys and support mods.
Heads are stock 243 castings. Max power is 605whp with 570wtq. 500tq @ 3250rpm.
It idles at 750rpm with obvious choppyness but is it drives like a stock car and has good acceleration.

This car has an Eforce supercharger so cathedral port type heads will be maintained.
If I install heads with 220 to 230cc intake volume like TSP PRC heads what differences in low speed drivability can i expect?
Whats the first thing I would notice about the drivability once heads are installed?
Do bigger heads smooth out the idle?
Finaly, how much power will 220cc heads add from 3000rpm to 6500?

Thanks for your time

TVS-2300 on LS2, safe on the LS2 stock motor to about 650HP with meth kit.

With mods like headers and cam, can take it up to about 700HP, but after that, super charger is too small/over spooled too much, and becomes a heat pump that your trying to fight instead. As for TVS-2750, can be pushed to just over 850 HP on a Built LS-2 ( forged pistons and rods, since crank is good for 1K of HPitself) before you start to turn it into a heat pump with it over spooled too much.

As for increasing head volume, your dropping cylinder pressure, and bringing the super charger pressure to make more HP instead. So your back into how far you can over spool a TVS-2300 before it just becomes a heat pump that even Meth water injection can not keep cool isntead.

Bottom line, where the TVS super chargers shines, is they have torque go dam near max linear just off idle, So gobs of power off the bottom. In strip type racing, not needed here since you are play rev ranger where you can make more upper RPM HP with a centrifugal super charger, but when you have to grunt a car out of a corner to keep the back end stuck on a Road course track, can make up huge time instead.
Note, so much torque off idle, that in a ZR1, need to use PTM to hobble the motor torque a touch, so your just blistering the tires off the rims.

So lets back this way, way up, and what are you using the car for/what type of racing are you doing.

I don't know but i think he's asking about hp gains and driveability by changing to better heads??? And i think he just wants it for the street not trak.

I don't know if this will help you, but i put on 205cc LPE heads from stock and dropped 4psi in boost so had to pulley down to get back up in boost and it made a hell of a difference so yes i gaining hp but don't know how much but had to retune it for a lot more A/F. No change in driveability. You can feel throughout the rpms from low to high especially med to high. That's what my experience was. I have a very similar set up as you.

Upgrading the heads won't negatively effect drivability. Boost will go down with power probably being up some. Like Helga mentioned, the gravy comes when you add a smaller blower pulley into the mix. You can move more air with less boost which is a win/win. Less boost equal less heat equal mo' power.
