To start, I've ready plenty of threads about the launch control & no lift shift in certain models/years C6's - but nothing definite.
I've seen videos of Z06's & ZR1's showing it doesnt work, but I have also seen videos of corvettes using it at the track "stock"
I own a 2013 C6 Z06 - so it does fall into the "later" model years that may have the technology that carried over to the C7
Also want to clarify, by no lift shift, we are talking about your right foot staying on the gas pedal 100% the whole time. Clutch Kick/Shift with it planted.
What I've read & seen:
1.) You cannot do no lift shift unless you use the launch control system first on a C6 (not the same for a C7)
a.) If you lift your foot at all during launch control , you will also cancel the launch and no lift shift will not work
2.) No lift shift can be engaged at any time as long as you hit a certain rpm with your foot planted (7000+ in a Z06)
3.) There is not a No lift shift in any C6 - it has to be added in the tune by an aftermarket tuner
If there is a thread that gives a definite answer, please guide me to it, because I cannot find it
I was testing out the car when I first got it (do not remember what the PTM was set to), and I SWEAR I no lift shifted. Because I did it on multiple pulls, one from a dig, and one from 40mph
Since then, I have tried almost everything, all settings, and cannot get it to work, I old school power shift, can hear the RPM's still climb a little as I shift
PLEASE someone let me know
Thanks

I don't know anything about no lift shift.... but...
Launch Control was introduced in 2010 on all manual transmission Corvette's and Camaro's (excluding those with mag ride suspension).
You must be in Competitive Driving Mode for it to work. It's covered in your owners manual.

So I think on the 2013, the PTM was the same between Z06 & ZR1 - it also has the TR6060, which is what transmission is used in all the cars that are known to have itOriginally Posted by Iceaxe
It appears no lift shift is only available on the forced induction cars... meaning the ZR1 when it comes to Corvettes.
I will double check the owners manual to see if it says more than launch control
I appreciate the feedback

What does the no lift shift do compared to not having it? I “no lift shifted” my old C5 all the time but went through two T56’s as the syncros wore on the 1-2 always.

You're killing the engine power for a very short period of time (usually under 0.250 seconds), so when you shift there is no torque on any of the rotating assembly.Originally Posted by Corvettechris86

What you were doing is still applying torque to all the rotating assemblies, causing premature wear and (as you learned) damaging parts haha
You can get aftermarket no lift shift and 2 step modules added to your C5 and save you a lot of wear
