Default Anyone using this Corsa air intake?

I may be able to buy a new Corsa air intake (see below), under Corsa's list price. Any of you running this in your LS3 6.2 ? Comments?

I just installed mine on Friday evening. It is an easy 30 minute DIY install. I like how it opens up the top and front of the engine bay. It also looks good. I can't really comment performance wise if there is any noticeable difference. I am installing a Corsa sport axel back exhaust in a couple of weeks, when it arrives, to match up with it.

I installed it on my 2012 LS3 over the winter. Took the car out in early May and drove it about 5 or 6 times for a couple hundred miles total. All of a sudden, my check engine light came on and I threw a P0171 code (fuel trim system lean). Car only has 12,000 miles on it so I doubt it's an O2 sensor or other issue. I checked it over, and didn't notice anything loose. But I took everything apart and reinstalled it to be sure. I've since driven it about 4 more times for maybe 50 miles total and no light/code - at least so far. However, I think I'd need to drive it a bit more to be sure everything is okay.

Other than that (hopefully fixed) issue, I like it. It took about 30 minutes to install. Didn't notice any seat-of-the-pants performance gains and it didn't change the sound of the car as far as I can tell - but I love how it cleans up the engine bay. The factory air intake is so bulky. I paid $504 for mine out the door, no tax/shipping fees.

If you want engine bay eye-candy, I'd highly recommend it. Anything else, and maybe not.

"RootsRad"
Corsa's install instructions say you must disconnect the negative battery terminal prior installing this air intake to prevent any CEL or codes being thrown. Did you try this "disconnect technique" when you first installed yours?

Yes sir. Did that both during the install and the re-install.

Hopefully you fixed whatever was causing the problem, and you'll be able to enjoy trouble free motoring

Thanks man. Fingers crossed! Right now, my gut tells me I'm not out of the woods yet, as it could be temporarily resolved from disconnecting the negative battery when I re-installed. I've heard that it takes around 6 engine start cycles before the code may reappear but I don't know if that's true or not. I've think I've done 4 since the reinstall.

I'm surprised you had/have any trouble at all with this Corsa AI. It appears to be designed perfectly and retained the same locations for the oil breather hose & MAF sensor. Maybe the smoother faster moving air through this streamlined intake freaks out the MAF for a few startup cycles???

Josh, what's your best price on this Corsa AI delivered to me (a current Corvette Forum member in good standing), in SoCal 92867. You can PM me if needed, I'll understand due to the exclusive big discount you're about to quote...

Default I'm giving Meraki Auto Works a try

Josh at Meraki just sold me a new Corsa AI #44108-1 less than I could've got directly from Corsa or on Ebay. I'll post in 3 to 5 days and give an install / performance update.

Default Update: Corsa AI installed

I just installed the new Corsa carbon fiber AI #44108-1 I bought from Meraki Autoworks. It took me about 45 mins going slowly & carefully. Started right up; no CELs or warning lights. I'll start & drive it for a few more days to be sure. I shaved off a couple pounds of weight compared to the OEM air intake, and it seems a bit more responsive when I accelerate. Maybe it's just in my head, who knows. Anyway, I luv the clean streamlined look of the new intake without the ugly OEM air resonator box attached. If I don't update this post, that means all is well with the install and there's no CELs

Congrats! I drove mine a couple more times and that engine light/code hasn't come back. Knock on wood, but I think I'm in the clear. I must have just had something loose the first time around. I couldn't agree more about the streamlined look without that bulky resonator box on the OEM intake.

I want to use this cai on my 06 base vert. I don’t think they make one for the ls2. Anybody have any info on this? Thanks.

Yes thanks I checked with Josh. He said that it doesn’t show anything in the description for the ls2. I was kind of hoping maybe somebody here may have used it for an 06 ls2.
