Morimoto head light install question

Morimoto head light install question
For those that have done this mod I have a question about one of the harnesses. There is one included separately from the rest. It has a plug to connect to each side and a fuse tap in the centre. I read that this used only if you wanted to display your car with the DRLs on without the car running. My question is will the DRLs work without using this harness? I've sent an inquiry to Morimoto but didn't get a clear answer. Thanks.
EDIT: I found my answer. Morimoto got back to me right away. I will need the harness for the DRL's to be functional. I'll be doing the install tomorrow. I bought them from Vette Lights. Great vendor here on the forum. Pics will be posted in C6 general when I'm done.

I saw a video where they used the factory studs instead of the ones supplied by Morimoto and it eliminated the big gaps.
