Trans in second gear won't shift up or down
fob not detected intermediately interior lite stays on. Heads-up display quit showing what gear car was in But was in second gear Unhooked battery cable twice got in car with fob things back to normal for the time being

Sounds like two separate issues. Which transmission do you have? (Two different types of automatic went in these cars depending on the year) In my 05 when ether the battery was low or when the alter was near the end of life I would have random electrical issues with lights and the fob like you say you are having. The ECU doesn’t like to have the low volts/amps. From what I found out the early years are more prone to it then later. (My 12 is fine).
