Default Sway bars 08Z upgrade understeer

Had a set of Johnny O’Connell sway bars That I was running on my C5Z with car was very balanced easy to drive.
upgraded to C6Z swapped over Johnny O’Connell sways - Experiencing lots of understeer with C6Z I realize spring rates are different from C5Z-C6Z and assuming spring rates are making the difference.
anyone know of any swaybars or combinations that would balance the car better than the OE sways?
Going to do my first track day with C6Z on OE sway bars in a few weeks see how she feels.

Problem is when you start to over firm upgrade the z06 suspension to T1, but don't have the needed down force in either the back or front to make it work, hence not even enough weight transfer on braking to get the front end to stick as well.

So you can drop the front end a touch to try to get ride of some of the under steer during weight transfer into the corner, but as soon as you try to weight transfer back to the back end out of the apex, end up with over steer that turns into hook steering on the way out instead.

Bottom line, if you know how to drive the Z06 correctly, it's set up very well for track us the way it come out of the factory (on either super sports, or super cups).
If you want to step up to T1 class suspension (again factory) with R tires, need the extra down force to make that package work correctly through the entire track instead.

As for trying to piece together different suspension parts to make them work, then just lets say that everything needs to be fully adjustable to dial it in as a complete suspension package for the tires and down force being run per track instead..

Yes!
The TPS Motorsports (CF Forum Vendor).
TPS P1 Comp Sway Bars
American Made, Tubular F 35 mm, R. 25mm & 3 way adjustable (# 408, 480, & #552)
$500.00 and comparison chart to other sizes.
OE C6 Z06 F 31mm, R 28mm

I put the smaller F 31mm, same rear on softest setting (widest)
on my Base C6 along with Bilsteins and Love it.

If you know what you are doing (regarding choosing and testing at the track)
the P1 bars from TPS are Great "Bang for the Buck" upgrade. and will exceed your expectations.
My .02 & Experience.

are those bars not adjustable? I haven't seen a Johnny Bar in a long time, but most are rear adjustable. Stiffen the rear if you can

I am running Bilsteins and R-comp tires .. they are mismatched since no ones has R- comps in stock this year (fronts R888s / Rears Nankang Ar-1s ) Sure did not help the situation . The traction control would kick in after tires got hot (fronts sliding )
Been tracking C5-C6 for over ten years so no rookie here but still ..
Was so frustrated in August @ The Glenn got an instructor to come for few sessions had me brake harder into corner and trail brake lightly to get more weight on front - helped some . He said I did great just some minor adjustments . Come to find after he gave me his Biz card his is an IMSA driver LMP2 ! I was humbled ...
FYI
The JO rears do have adjustments . Going to see how it feels with OE setup in few weeks at track .

not the bars, it is the alignment, I run those bars with coil overs and scrubbed slicks, full aero with enough camber and the right toe, it turns

Well do not think good comparison if your running with coil overs and scrubbed slicks, full aero ... I have none of that . I have been running same alignment for years on both Z s .
