Default LS2 Dyno Results

bought my childhood dream car several months back. did not plan to mod it at all…. well first month i had i ended up throwing some go fast parts on her.

build so far: car has 75k miles now
  • SLP CAI
  • long tubes
  • catless X
  • full corsa extreme cat back
  • MGW Short Throw
  • Brake upgrade
  • z51 sways

stock power
  • 368 hp
  • 368 tq

after few mods and tune:
  • 398 hp
  • 401 tq

i feel like i may end up going broke just from modding rather than the car cost itself.

is this a common problem with these cars?

Bump the rev limiter with a good tune, That exhaust gave a very nice bump, especially midrange

i keep reading about how much others like this. how much did the change-over cost you in total? where are the revs for you say at 70 or 80 mph?

anything to keep in mind or know about that you have come to find out from this mod?

thanks in advance

this is next on the list along with the cam. needs a retune bad, running quite rich.

Lol... I feel ya. I already have an LSA blower on the bench for future install after I get finished with the other repairs/mods I need/want to do. In fact, I’m just working up the courage to chop away part of the cowling so the supercharger fits. 😉

That’s a lot of power from just headers. 368 whp on stock LS2 is pretty much unheard of.

welcome fellow "Corvette Tax" payer

Long story short...... yes, it will end up costing you a lot. I was all about staying as stock as possible.......until i got the bug

I started with CAI & corsa sport axle back..... then added headers and X pipe.....then a diablosport trinity tuner with email tune from Diablou..... with that, i thought I was good!.... did 1/4 mi. in 12.8 ....... seemed slow compared to everyone else LOL (my friends were driving Hellcats, and supercharged challengers, gto's, ctsv, vipers, turbo'd ricers , etc...) so ended up installing an A&A supercharger kit, and guages. then I couldn't keep traction.... so had to get Drag radials.

Have also added some cosmetic things like aftermarket fuel rails, valve covers, LED side markers, oracle halo tail lights, Z06 style wheels, custom leather seat covers, etc.

Not to mention stereo system:
double din kenwood
(3) amps
(2) 10" subs
(4) 6.5"
(2) 1.5" tweets
(2) 3.5" coaxial
(2) 8"
Front & rear cameras

because at 6500rpm he is making more power than 5000rpm (best case 3-4 rpm drop for mn6). You want your power curves to match at your shifts.

The Z51 gear set drops to 4500, which is down over 40hp compared to 6500.

I don't think this is a Z51 optioned car as he only stated that he has Z51 sways! That being said it should still fall back to 4500rpm after the shift, & I agree bumping the shift to 6700 would net a better ET

Really? what are the typical numbers for the stock ls2? mine is an m6 if that makes a difference. was on a hot 100 degree day. tuner did say it put out more than he expected. does this mean its been babied previously or ran hard or what? he also said stock it was running a tad bit leaner than he liked.

how long have you had the aa kit installed? what else have you needed to replace with the extra power?
